OK I will be more specific. I am thinking of buying a set of the radial gumbo monster mudders. (38/15.50/16.5) I am currently running 36/12.50/16.5 good year WRANGLER R/T II.(this is the old military spec bias HUMMER tire) They even have (MILITARY OZ) stamped in the side of them.

To get a good idea of how gumbo mudders feel on a cold winter morning, find a 1-2 mile stretch o train track. proceed to drive on said tracks for about 1-2 miles at normal speed used on a normal street. practice this for at least two weeks, or until all fillings have fallen out of your head!

Sometimes there wouldn't be many show up to run in the paddle tire class and they cut tire rigs would run there too….and sometimes beat the scooper-equipped rigs..

It see's alot of small town driving with the longest drive being about 15 mile round trip at most. I figure these will last me for at least 6 months or so. It used to have 39.5x15.50 TSLs on it back in the day. Im thinking of going back with the same size but in a Bogger when its time for new tires. Thanks for the help though :bigthumb:

Heak, dont even think about running these old mudders at low tire pressures and having a 16.5" wheel. I think I could kick one right off of the wheel. With such new tire technology out there, using an old style tire seems a little odd. Newer style and designs just work better.
